"Honoring the History of the Twisp Ranger Station

TwispWorks’ collaborative project “Honoring the History of the Twisp Ranger Station” helps connect the historic uses of the TwispWorks property with its current redevelopment.
The project, made possible through a grant by the Leavenworth-based Icicle Fund, includes paintings by Kayla Darch, an audio soundscape by Dakota LaCroix, an interactive design installation by a team of University of Washington students, a short film by Terry Hunt, and research by the students of the Independent Learning Center.

Artists and students interviewed retired Ranger Station employees and searched through old photographs to create their own interpretations of the history and importance of the Twisp Ranger Station, as well as to convey the effect the closing of the station had on Twisp."
