Pasayten and Sawtooth Wilderness Project
To the north and west of the Methow Valley lie two Wilderness areas totaling over 684,000 acres of beautiful, and rugged North Cascades. The 794+ miles of trail connects over 150 mountain peaks that reach 7500' or more in elevation. The drainages and basins are home to more than 220 lakes and rivers.
Due to limited USFS funding and the recent fires, forest health and general trail disrepair maintenance is difficult. A significant number of volunteers from several different organizations aid the USFS every summer to help keep trails open and access to the wilderness areas open.
This series of paintings and limited prints aim to help the promotion of these areas and a portion of the profits from sales will go to funding trail maintenance.
